Melissa Bradshaw, an experienced and award winning teacher with a degree in Arts Education, developed Wee Little Arts® in response to a need she saw as a teacher. Melissa realized that the students in elementary school classrooms had been under-served in the development of fine motor skills, critical thinking skills and creativity that early art education encourages. Combining her formal training in education with a passion for growing young minds, Melissa designed the Wee Little Arts® program. For over a decade, Wee Little Arts® has served tens of thousands of children, consistently generating praise from parents and school directors.

WHAT WE DO

The Wee Little Arts® program is broken into four critical sessions that build upon each other to develop a full range of exposure and skills in the visual arts. Students are introduced to a variety of safe, high quality materials, which are utilized in the process of creation, fostering their imagination and encouraging them to utilize their critical thinking skills. Using art history and age-appropriate children’s literature, students are also exposed to a wide range of visual art concepts. Introduction to descriptive vocabulary, training via various artistic media and learning through a process-oriented approach to develop imagination and creative ability, are just some of the wonderful things the children experience.
Classes are held once a week for 45 minutes. Programs begin at the brilliant age of three years old!
We continue to develop compelling school year curricula, summer camp and birthday event celebrations, allowing one to generate income all year long.
