Bruce Reed founded Bruster's® Real Ice Cream in 1989.  His passion for extraordinary ice cream and stellar customer service guaranteed his success and we are now approaching 200 units open in 18 states, and counting! This is the fresh opportunity you've been looking for.  Though much has changed since the beginning of Bruster's®, we still adhere to the guiding principles that have made us the revered brand we are today.  Bruster's® still uses fresh, real ingredients in our famous ice creams.  All of our desserts (cakes, pies and waffle cones) and our ice creams are made right in the store where they are served. As a franchisee you can select up to 37 flavors to serve daily from close to 150 recipes!  Our simple retail model distinguishes us from the other franchises by focusing on serving ice cream and related products filled with the giant chunks of real fruit, candies, cookies, nuts and other delicious mix-ins.

Bruce started serving ice cream for one reason: to make his customers happy!  That is still the reason Bruster's® is serving ice cream today.

Why Bruster's® Franchise
When choosing a franchise, your first concern should be finding the one that is right for you, and options are important. We have selected a menu of options to help you develop your Bruster's®.  The process begins by finding an ideal location to build your Bruster's® where you manufacture and retail our fabulous ice cream.  Bruster's® offers 3 models to choose from:
  • DINE IN - a 4-Seasons concept with indoor seating, a bright fun vibe and additional product offerings. This model was recently featured in QSR, Business Times and Franchise Times.
Of course, our signature made-in-house ice creams, sorbets, milkshakes, Italian Ices, ice cream pies and cakes are offered with all models. However, the new DINE-IN MODEL offers an expanded menu with fresh fruit smoothies and soft-serve frozen yogurt.  A true one stop treats shop.
Bruster's® offers a generous territory of 6 miles or 75,000 in population (whichever is smaller).  Your franchise fee for this opportunity is $30,000.

Training and support
We have over two decades of experience to help you and our brand grow simultaneously. Many brands are eager to grow at any expense, even the expense of their franchisees, but not us! We are a privately held company and this gives us the control to open as many locations as possible as long as it is the right store, in the right place with the right person. Then our team is here to support you with:
  • Real estate review and approval
  • Comprehensive training for management and scoopers
  • Marketing tools, programs and field representatives

  • Field operations for opening and ongoing support and consultation

Liquidity requirements range from $75,000- $200,000 depending on the model selected.
