The company has five local locations, and Long Beach opens Monday

Exactly two years ago, Silverlake Ramen confirmed some ambitious franchise plans for the popular restaurant. Since then, the busy restaurant group has managed to open on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade, along a busy part of Sixth and Spring in Downtown, and up in Northern California. Now the chain will open in the Long Beach Exchange, with a planned arrival for Monday, September 30.

Silverlake Ramen’s arrival coincides with Long Beach’s ramen explosion. Per the Long Beach Post, there is a soft-opening happening today from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. with similar hours for Silverlake Ramen through the weekend.

The company website notes that future locations are coming for Koreatown, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Cerritos, Oxnard, and in Concord, North Carolina. Silverlake Ramen at the Long Beach Exchange (LBX for short) is part of owner Jitaek Lim’s franchise phase, where independent owner/operators will participate in the chain’s expansion.

LBX is just off the Lakewood exit of the 405, and is a massive Long Beach development with retail stores, restaurants, and a communal space for the public. It opened in 2018 with a 17,000 square foot food vendor space called The Hangar. When The Hangar’s 14 vendor capacity is full, it will feature 14 businesses including Bottlecraft, Anaheim-based gastropub The Kroft, and hand roll shop, Temakera. Regular hours for Silverlake Ramen LBX will be from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m..
