The innovative home cleaning franchise signed on new franchisees and saw strong sales numbers, which allowed it to act on its values and give back to its communities.

Home Clean Heroes, the Virginia Beach-based residential cleaning franchise, is mopping the floor with the competition as it wraps up a strong Q1 of 2021, continuing its impressive sales growth and signing two new units in Augusta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina. But as the brand thrived during the pandemic, it also saw a great opportunity to donate hundreds of meals to the needy with its Heroes Fighting Hunger program.

“Home Clean Heroes is having a sparkling Q1 with new franchisees coming on in Georgia and North Carolina as the brand continues to become a force across the southeast,” Joe Delatte, the brand’s president, said. “The second quarter is looking just as bright with strong prospects that will increase our footprint out west. As we continue our growth, we’re excited about the new partners who can bring Home Clean Heroes’ advanced and in-demand cleaning services to communities that need us now more than ever.”

Home Clean Heroes’ Buzz Factor

Home Clean Heroes not only opened their new Tampa Bay location but also saw positive revenue growth of 40% year over year for the first quarter. The brand credits its franchisees and the support of Buzz Franchise Brands, its parent company, for helping it dominate in the pandemic era.

Under Buzz’s management, Home Clean Heroes launched a new Force Field Disinfecting Mist, a new service that’s proven to kill 99.9% of viruses, including COVID-19, influenza, norovirus and salmonella. The Force Field Disinfecting Mist provides franchisees another revenue stream and involves positively charging sprayed particles with an electrode, which works equally well in office, residential or medical settings.

How Home Clean Heroes Supports Franchisees

According to Antoinette White, a new franchisee with the brand in Augusta, Georgia, it’s no wonder the brand is growing quickly. She said the support she received during onboarding gave her the confidence she needed to tackle business ownership.

“Home Clean Heroes was professional, and the corporate team clearly outlined the company’s goals and overall mission,” said White. “They presented us with tangible resources and information to help us make our decision with confidence. Overall, it was the level of transparency within the company that really drew us in. It became clear that Home Clean Heroes would support us every step of the way as we worked towards our opening and beyond.”

To support the brand’s fast growth, the team brought on a new VP of franchise development, the brand’s president said.

“I am excited to welcome Jen Olson to the HCH team,” said Delatte. “Jen is an experienced, well-known franchise development professional and brings a wealth of strengths to our development efforts. She is a Michigan State University grad with almost 20 years in franchise development at brands of all sizes. Her impressive experience ranges from Mr. Handyman, Regis Brands (Supercuts, Pro Cuts, Roosters) and most recently NOW Massage.”

Besides expanding the franchise and investing in growing the brand, the surge in sales has also allowed the company to act on its values by giving back to its local communities.

Heroes Fighting Hunger

On January 27, Home Clean Heroes delivered 806 meals collected through their Heroes Fighting Hunger food drive to the Foodbank of Southeastern and Eastern Shore, Virginia. The brand collects food and educates the public about food banks annually as part of this initiative.

The brand achieved this milestone by asking clients to donate any food items or gift cards, and the response was overwhelming. Overall, Home Clean Heroes’ clients supported the initiative to the tune of more than 450 pounds of food being collected.

Home Clean Heroes partnered with Foodbank because the charity’s mission to eliminate hunger in the local communities resonated with the cleaning brand’s focus on everyday heroes.

Foodbank has distributed over 360 million pounds of food equating to over 300 million meals throughout their 4,745-square-mile service area, which includes the cities of Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Franklin and Virginia Beach as well as the counties of Southampton, Northampton, Sussex, Isle of Wight and Accomack.

As Home Clean Heroes grows, it’s important to the brand to leave its mark on communities not only with sterling cleaning services but also with support for communities and charitable outreach.
