It all started in 1992 when two guys opened their first TACO DEL MAR® on Pier 57 in Seattle. Their inspiration? TACO DEL MAR® is a quick-service restaurant chain inspired by the coastal cuisine of Baja California, Mexico, where the beaches attract surfers, the people kick back and relax, and the food is full of light, flavorful tastes and natural heat from peppers like jalapenos and their signature Reaper sauce.

Serving up Baja-style Mexican food, TACO DEL MAR® “Baja Builders” create made-to-order Burritos, iconic Fish Tacos, Quesadillas, Taco Salads and much more, all customized with a variety of sauces, salsas and vegetables. TACO DEL MAR® also proudly offers an array of vegetarian and vegan options, and a completely trans-fat-free menu.
Excellent Training & Support System
World-class franchisee training is provided encompassing classroom and in-store learning. We have local Development Agents or Territory Managers in the US and Canada who live and work in the communities that they support. These teams work closely with franchisees from initial consultation through design and build-out, to ongoing training and support; including local store marketing strategies to drive awareness and sales.
