The first Mellow Mushroom was born and flourished in midtown Atlanta during the early 70’s. Opened by two Georgia Tech roommates who had been working in the pizza business, this hole in the wall pizza storefront on Spring Street soon expanded when they were joined by a University of Georgia student who located the second Mellow Mushroom on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.
This trio of entrepreneurs has worked hard over the years to create the success story that Mellow Mushroom Pizza has become today. The goal then, as it is now, was to serve the finest product possible in terms of health and taste. The Mellow Mushroom name is synonymous with quality and is recognized throughout the Southeast.
