How Do You Roll? - Franchise

Franchising
“Something about eating at this place makes me feel like I’m sticking it to authority.  Oh, you tell me I can’t put strawberries in my sushi?  Too bad.  Because I totally just did.  I’ve always been so happy with my experience here.  From that first, precious visit…I knew it was love.” Valerie G. from Austin, Texas

The fast-casual restaurant sector is growing at an annual rate of 11%, almost three times faster than other sectors, and a growing market demand exists for fast, fresh, affordable food. How Do You Roll? meets and exceeds this demand with an added commitment to creativity.

When we opened our doors in 2008, we sparked the sushi revolution.  Since franchising in 2010, we're conquering new territory and educating consumers about rethinking foods and making healthy choices.  What’s our secret to a successful rebellion?  Strong conviction, an unbeatable support team and proven systems to achieve success by design.

How Do You Roll? isn't just offering up franchise opportunities; we're introducing a way of life.  Franchising with us means rebelling against convention, helping others make healthy choices and growing your business with excitement and expectancy.

Our Mission
“Making the World Better, One Stomach at a Time!”

Every decision we make at How Do You Roll? is determined by two questions: “Does this make the world better?” and “Does this live up to our core values?”  If the answer to either one of those questions is “no,” then our decision is clear.

We do this by…

  • Emphasizing freedom to be creative and encouraging individualism
  • Providing purpose and development within our organization
  • Supporting our local communities
  • Carrying eco-friendly recycled and compostable materials

A few reasons to join our team:

  • More than diversify — grow a business and grow your community
  • Build a lasting legacy
  • Conquer the niche in the market and expand your current concepts
We are pioneers of an untapped fast-casual market, we are aggressive in our expansion and we invest in our franchisees to grow their businesses and ours.  That's why we keep start-up costs low, maintain a simple operating system and provide lasting training and support.

Investment
“We’ve made an investment and a large commitment of time, energy and where we want to see the brand go.  I know it’s going to take a lot of work but we think it’s very possible, and it’s not a question of “if,” it’s a matter of “when”…the sky’s the limit with this brand.” Christopher Barney, Area Representative for Florida

Investment costs vary depending on types of development and our flexible footprints.  Learn below about the different ways you can join the revolution.  For more info on investment costs, simply fill out the request form at the bottom of this page.

  • Master Franchise: We are pursuing Master Franchisors for revenue-sharing opportunities in select markets worldwide. Our international partners are required to build at least two stores in their territory before sub-franchising.  In addition to franchise sales, Master Franchisors are responsible for consulting, inspections and development support for franchisees in their area.
  • Area Representative: Still available in very limited markets, our Area Representatives also operate under a revenue-sharing model.  Area Reps are responsible for sales, consulting, inspections and development support for franchisees within their territory.
  • Multi-Unit Operators: Our growth strategy targets multi-unit developments of 3-5 restaurants in concentrated areas. These areas are located within or near major metropolitan cities.
  • Single-Unit Operators: Single-unit development is available within certain parts of Texas and in some Area Representative territories.

Testimonials

"Starting [a restaurant] from the ground up without any kind of support is a really scary feat. Having a group of people that are here to help and support you, not just from a marketing perspective but… any other kind of challenges like labor costs, was a big selling point for us." Emily Freitag
